It just is by some margin much bigger than any other existing economic cluster in eastern India. And then there is Gujarat at 8.1%. These are the biggest economies of today. Notice here that West Bengal is clearly dropped off. Now I am going to do the same analysis of relative performance, looking at per capita income. So, the first top five major states measured in terms of relative per capita income in 1960-61, one was Delhi. Obviously, Delhi has an advantage of being a city. But nevertheless, Delhi in relative per capita income terms had the highest. Maharashtra was the second highest, interestingly West Bengal was the third..."

Over these six decades, the relationship has been problem-free, very fruitful, and filled with amity. But I would have to say that over the past decades, and especially the past five years, our relationship has truly leveled up..."

Ignacio says, "Philippines and India celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations last year...The relationship between the two nations has improved over the last five years...Our trade in 2023 reached $3 billion for the first time and I am happy that last year, 2024, we managed to sustain this level of above $3 billion...A lot of Indian companies are doing business in the Philippines, making great profits from the Philippines...I also want to explore the opportunities here in West Bengal...One of my priorities is to restore direct air connectivity between the Philippines and India, which has not been there for at least a decade now...Within this year, we are very confident that we will see the restoration of direct air connectivity...We have a lot of respect for external affairs minister Dr S.Jaishankar and he enjoys a very good relationship with foreign secretary Enrique Manalo...He has also made statements for supporting the Philippines in our efforts to secure and defend our sovereignty..."
